**Location:** Taylor, MI **Hours:** 6am-2:30pm Monday-Friday **Pay:** $18/hr **Job Summary:** We are seeking a reliable and motivated laborer to assist with the repair and modification of custom racks used in manufacturing. The ideal candidate will be comfortable using hand grinders, drills, and other hand tools to carry out tasks such as grinding, drilling, cutting, and adjusting metal components. This position offers hands-on experience in a dynamic work environment and provides an opportunity to support the manufacturing process with custom-built equipment. **Key Responsibilities:** + Use hand grinders, drills, and various hand tools to repair, modify, and maintain custom racks. + Cut, grind, drill, and assemble metal components as per specifications. + Ensure all work is performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company safety guidelines. + Measure and mark materials to prepare for cutting or modification. + Inspect parts and equipment for quality and ensure that all repairs meet required standards. + Assist in organizing tools and materials in the workspace to maintain a clean and efficient work environment. + Follow verbal and written instructions from supervisors and communicate progress on assigned tasks. + Maintain and care for tools and equipment to ensure proper functioning and longevity. + Support other team members with various tasks as needed. **Qualifications:** + Previous experience using hand tools, grinders, and drills (preferred but not required). + Basic mechanical skills or a willingness to learn. + Ability to follow safety protocols and work with minimal supervision. + Attention to detail and ability to read and understand blueprints or work instructions. + Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality. + Ability to lift and move materials up to [insert weight limit] pounds. + Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment. **Physical Requirements:** + Ability to stand, bend, and lift for extended periods. + Comfortable working in a manufacturing setting with exposure to noise, dust, and machinery. **Work Schedule:** This is a full time position with first shift hours of 6am-2:30pm.
