Candidates will be placed in appropriate level of the career ladder based on experience.

Performs all required general and preventive maintenance providing the smooth operation of UPMC Northwest and a safe environment for personnel, patients and visitors.

Responsibilities:

Perform major/minor projects, construction and/or renovations in compliance with regulatory agencies. Perform all duties in a manner that makes for a pleasant and safe environment within the facility. May provide patient restraint if properly trained and physically capable to do so and only as directed by appropriate nursing personnel. The ability to read detailed blue prints. Perform all required maintenance and repair on all hospital systems/equipment and buildings and grounds to provide continuous operation and a safe environment for personnel, patients, and visitors. Perform all phases of grounds maintenance, including, but not limited to, lawn care and snow removal. Perform in accordance with system-wide competencies/behaviors. May be required to take department call.
