Skilled Trade - Tool & Diemaker

Nexteer Automotive Saginaw, Michigan Operations is soliciting candidates for Tool & Diemaker positions.

 

Applicants must have and be able to demonstrate the following skills and attributes:

 

Must be Safety oriented individual – overriding priority

Self-starting team-oriented individuals with good technical and people skills

Must be willing to coach/mentor fellow employees

To qualify you must have one of the following:

Journeyman’s card

Completed a Department of Labor - Certified Program

Experience as a Tool & Diemaker, preferably 8 years

Responsibilities:

Read blueprints to perform die repair and fabricate any parts in toolroom

Knowledge of Geometric Dimension & Tolerances

Work with close tolerances

Must have own tools and toolbox

Set up and teardown fixtures on lathes and mills

Set up and teardown dies on presses

CNC Programming Lathes & Mills

Ability to:

Operate tool room equipment including, but not limited to mills, tool lathe, surface grinder, band saw, CNC Axis Machines

Experience rigging using chains, slings and chokers from overhead cranes
