You will be the Remotely Piloted Aircraft \(RPA\) Pilot on the Skunk Works team\.
**What You Will Be Doing**
As the RPA Pilot your responsibilities will include:
• Provide Flight Operations support as a Remotely Piloted Aircraft \(RPA\) Pilot\.
• A Rated Aircrew Systems Operator will conduct planning for and execution of experimental, engineering, and production acceptance flight tests to ensure compliance with specifications, operational suitability and gathering of optimum test data to support customer requirements\.
• May perform academic classroom training and aircraft ground and flight training for customer aircrew\.
• Perform technical and mission planning, systems integration, real\-time troubleshooting, analysis, and evaluation of systems, and provide recommendations to improve Human Machine Interface of aircraft and ground station functionality\.
• Provide avionics expertise and support to engineering, design developmental teams, training, customer support and marketing teams regarding aircrew interfaces\.

This position is in Palmdale, CA Discover Palmdale\.
**Basic Qualifications:**
• 10\+ Years Experience operating large UAS under DoD instruction/regulations w/500 hours minimum PIC time\.
• In\-depth knowledge of military publications and understanding of NAS/ICAO requirements for large UAS operations\.
• Current Class II or higher FAA medical certificate\.
• FAA Commercial Pilot or ATP certificate\.
• Current TS/SCI Clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain program access within a reasonable period, as determined by the company to meet its business needs\.
**Desired Skills:**
• Advanced UAS Operations: Experience with integration, operation and ground control of various UAS platforms\.
• Current or demonstrated experience as an IP from any DoD Branch\.
• Communication and Training: Ability to develop use cases, identify flying techniques and train pilots to improve mission deliverables\.
• Experience in flight testing with the ability to work with engineering to develop solutions to integration issues and to bridge our customers with the LM engineering teams\.
• Excellent communications skills, including the ability to brief test results to executive leadership\.
**Security Clearance Statement:** This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration\.

**Ability to Work Remotely:** Onsite Full\-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility\.
**Work Schedules:** Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees\. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed\. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits\.
**Schedule for this Position:** 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
**Pay Rate:** The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York \(excluding most major metropolitan areas\), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $123,500 \- $236,800\. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location\. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only\. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as \(but not limited to\) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer\. **Benefits offered:** Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short\-Term Disability, Long\-Term Disability, 401\(k\) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays\. \(Washington state applicants only\) Non\-represented full\-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off \(PTO\) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays\. Represented full time employees accrue 6\.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays\. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year\. This position is incentive plan eligible\.
**Pay Rate:** The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $142,100 \- $267,600\. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location\. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only\.
