Objective To assist the Student Leadership and Activities Department & Staff Essential Duties • Assist with daily operations of Game Room and/or the SLA Front Office.
• Assist SLA staff with activities/events held across campus (data coordination, venue design, set-up, program implementation, break down).
• Observe appropriate dress codes as set by SLA.
• Possess and demonstrates excellent telephone etiquette and provides superior customer service.
• Assist the department with student, staff/faculty, and community events within the student center.
• Report damage or theft to the SLA staff immediately.
• Serve as a communication liaison between students and SLA staff.
• Maintain acceptable work standards.
• Provide prompt, courteous and efficient customer service.
• Effectively address questions or problems presented, or make appropriate referral.
• Respect confidentiality.
• Be friendly, cooperative, and appreciative to other personnel.
• Support other staff members.
• Act professionally and as a SLA representative.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees and the public.
• Other duties as assigned. Minimum Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities • Must be federal work study eligible.
• Must be at least a half time student. Preferred Experience and Training • Must be willing to learn and train effectively and efficiently within a team oriented environment. Required Degree, License or Certifications • As determined by federal work study program. Physical Requirements • Light lifting & carrying, under 15 lbs.
• Moderate lifting, 15 to 44 lbs.
• Straight pulling, repeated bending, simple grasping, walking, standing, sitting, twisting, kneeling, pushing, stooping, seeing, identifying colors, depth perception, writing, counting, reading, telling time.
