Slate Application Administrator IV

OHIO’s Office of Information Technology is looking for a results-driven candidate with excellent collaboration and communication skills to provide technical support for the university’s student success and retention CRM , implemented with Technolutions Slate. This position works closely with CRM functional leads to provide technical solutions to support the planning, development, and coordination of student success efforts. You will serve in an advisory capacity and assist with increasing student retention and success efforts by participating in the development of CRM strategies and by enabling data driven decision making. You will partner with a functional leads to improve system capabilities and support mission critical university objectives. You will collaborate on highly complex, concurrent projects for multiple constituencies. The successful candidate will be driven to solve problems and achieve high standards of customer service and be able to effectively communicate with a wide audience, including staff within IT, subject matter experts, end users, and university leadership. You should have a bachelor’s degree and significant experience with back-end administration of Technolutions Slate, CRM , or a closely related application in a higher education environment. Please be aware that the university is posting two positions, with progressively higher skill sets. Only one position will be filled. The university is posting two positions to ensure a sufficient applicant pool to meet this need. The university will first consider applicants for the higher-level position. If that applicant pool does not yield a successful candidate, the applicant pool for the lower-level position will be evaluated. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to: • Research, prototype, and implement new product features. • Create, maintain and support imports, exports, and integrations with other university systems. • Develop and implement strategies to optimize duplicate resolution and to ensure date integrity. • Create, maintain and monitor Slate rules and workflows. • Create SQL queries or scripts in Slate to supplement application functionality. • Build and maintain complex queries and reports. • Develop and execute test plans for changes to functionality and changes to integrations. • Implement and administer security. Monitor systems logs and system performance. • Create and maintain detailed technical documentation. • Gain and maintain in-depth knowledge of the functionality provided by Technolutions Slate, best practices established by the Slate community, and Ohio University business processes. • Research product features and make recommendations to enrollment management leadership to achieve strategic objectives. This position is fully remote and will enjoy flexible scheduling options, too. Minimum Qualifications: • Bachelor’s Degree • 6+ years of experience maintaining the technical configuration of a CRM implementation or of a closely related application, including • 6+ years of experience with data management ( SQL queries, data exports and imports, data integrity, duplicate resolution, configuring and administering data security, etc.) • Experience with web technologies such as HTML , CSS , JavaScript, XML , etc. *An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Preferred Qualifications: •Effective written and verbal communication skills with both IT resources and non-technical stakeholders • 3+ years of experience maintaining the technical configuration of a Technolutions Slate implementation • Experience with PeopleSoft Campus Solutions • Experience with student success platforms • Experience with admission and recruiting processes in higher education Planning Unit: Information Technology Department: Information and Technology Office Applicants may contact this person if they have questions about this position: Toni Marinucci, marinucc@ohio.edu Employment Type: full-time regular Advertised Salary: The target hiring range is $95,101 – $105,000 commensurate with the selected candidate’s education and experience while considering internal equity.
