SLD Engineering Operations Lead (Fluids and Propulsions)

As the Fluids and Propulsion Engineering Operations Lead, you will report directly to the Fluids Prop Integrated Product Team Manager to improve the overall execution of the team. You will perform team management functions across the entire product life cycle from research, design development, final flight hardware design, manufacturing, and production. Your primary responsibilities will be managing budgets, schedules, work breakdown structure, and program plans to ensure products are delivered to meet program needs. With your help we will quantitatively manage our scope by presenting status, risks & opportunities, variances, and recovery plans to engineering and program management. You will be hands on with the team leading the execution of an Agile process for week to week planning and tracking.  You will serve in a scrum master role bringing agile development methods to drive efficiency in the teams execution.

You will be the primary liaison between the Fluids/Prop team and the Lunar Transportation program management office.  You will be responsible for the programmatic key performance metrics (cost, schedule, risk) and maintaining alignment between the program level plan and our teams day to day execution. You will work directly with NASA and our National Team Partners as part of the Human Landing System (HLS) Sustaining Lunar Development (SLD) program. You will play a key role in developing the Lunar Transportation system that will return humans to the Moon and extend human presence permanently beyond the bounds of Earth.

Qualifications:

B.S. degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Business, Operations Management, Mathematics, or related disciplines5+ years of experience managing projects/programs including managing priorities, scope, schedule, integration and cost. Experience with critical path scheduling, IMP/IMS, risk management, requirements management and Cost Account Management such as EVMExperience with Agile project management methodology and JIRA softwareExperience with P6 Primavera, MS Project, or similar scheduling software packagesCorporate and subcontract financial experienceAbility to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment while regularly providing imaginative and detailed solutions to complex problemsExcellent verbal, written, and graphical communication skillsAbility to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusionMust be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Compensation Range for:

CA applicants is $115,920.00-$162,288.00;CO applicants is $106,260.00-$148,764.00;WA applicants is $115,920.00-$162,288.00
