In an environment of continuous quality improvement under direct supervision of sleep technologist, the Sleep Technician develops competency in and performs basic sleep testing procedures and associated interventions. Exhibits the MHS Standards of Excellence and exercises strict confidentiality at all times.

 

Job Functions:

Performs sleep study modalities and implements therapeutic interventions with the guidance of a sleep technologist. Provides basic sleep modalities to adults (CPAP, BiPAP, EKGs, pulse oximetry and oxygen therapy). Participates in patient education. Provides a safe environment for patients. Participates and helps improve all quality initiatives. Demonstrates effective written and spoken communication skills. Assumes all other duties and responsibilities as necessary.
