**Job Title: Slip Sheet Operator** **Shift:** 8am-5pm (M-F) **Pay:** $17 **Location:** Northside, Jacksonville (near Blount Island). **Job Description** We are seeking a skilled Slip Sheet Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating a slip sheet forklift and be responsible for loading and unloading trailers, managing materials, and ensuring the safety and integrity of loads. **Responsibilities** + Properly inspect and operate a slip sheet forklift. + Safely load/unload trailers ensuring weight distribution, load integrity, and compliance with shipping instructions. + Understand storage and rotation procedures. + Identify and transport requested materials to and from various locations, including machines, loading docks, railroad cars, trucks, and storage areas. + Apply understanding of machine loading capacity and loading schedule for prompt and efficient delivery. + Use protective materials and strapping equipment to secure loads; remove strapping and wrapping upon delivery and dispose of waste materials safely. + Report any problems with materials or transportation to the supervisor. + Manage and stack drums, skids, pallets, and other supplies in specified areas. + Service equipment as needed and report mechanical or electrical difficulties to the supervisor. + Load and unload incoming and outgoing materials and products. + Operate forklift safely. + Move materials to and from loading docks, delivery trucks, storage areas, and manufacturing areas. + Identify and label materials and record their locations in the warehouse/on the shelves to maintain inventory. + Prepare finished products for shipment by identifying their location, pulling, packing, and loading them. + Perform other related duties as requested. **Essential Skills** + Experience with slip sheet forklifts. + Ability to operate regular sit-down forklifts. + Clean driver's license. + Proficiency in palletizing and material handling. + Experience in production, picking, inventory, warehouse packing, and inspection. + Slip sheet warehouse experience. **Why Work Here?** We offer ample opportunities for vertical growth within the company.
