Job Description:

Location: Seymour, Connecticut

CoWorx Staffing Services is actively seeking an experience Slitter Machine Operator for a manufacturing company within Seymour, CT.

The slitting machine operator will be responsible for slitting, rewinding and packaging products from master rolls. WIll be trained on machines and work at different workstations as needed.

Responsibilities:

– Efficiently operates all slitting equipment for all types of Xamax materials.
– Understands and follows printed work orders and work instructions
– Verifies material identity and quality
– Accurately records quality measurements and working time as required
– Packages product per written instructions
– Keeps work area clean and organized
– Follows safety instructions
– Recognizes and reports equipment problems to Maintenance Department
– Works with fellow team members to maintain machine up time and productivity

Desired Background/Skills:

– High School or equivalent desired
– Previous experience operating a slitting machine desired but not required
– 2-4 years experience working in manufacturing/production. Open to someone right out of tech school.
– Must be able to read, write and understand work orders and work instructions in english.
– Must be able to use and read measuring tools such as rulers to 1/8th inch, calipers & weighing scales (will train)
– Ability to communicate effectively
