**Job Description:** Safely perform multiple blade slitting machine setups and operations to convert wide web material to individual finished rolls. **Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to:** + Maintain a clean and safe work environment, follow written SOPs and PL instructions. + Setup and operate any single or multiple cutting blades or rotary knives slitting machines to cut various types of coated or imprinted polyester film materials to specific sizes. + Make required machine changeovers. Adjust slit width, load and unload materials from unwind and rewind parts of machinery. + Ensure that correct operating parameters are entered to process material. + Closely monitor converting processes, inspect material for obvious visual defects, make machine adjustments if necessary. + Check samples of completed work for size and conformance to specifications. + Assist to ensure that machines are routinely maintained; that specific product material stocks are available and ready for production runs. See that items in low supply are replaced. + Clear machinery jams and malfunctions. Make required film splices and re threads of broken films. + Record production run quantities, job orders, product and materials used, machinery down times. Label and pack completed rolls in accordance with requirements and SOPs. **Education and Experience:** The candidate is required to have the following: + High School diploma or equivalent + Work experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment similar to the core competencies of ITW ShineMark. (Custom laminating, coating, metallizing, and converting) + Good mathematic skills and ability to learn and understand converting machinery functions and requirements. + Possess good judgment and decision-making skills. + Be well organized and possess good verbal and written communications skills. + Interpret, understand, and adhere to customer requirements. + Able to adapt to a challenging and demanding work environment. + Flexibility and willingness to work in other cells within ITW ShineMark as assigned. **Physical Demands:** + While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand and walk, around the machines to replenish coating and perform visual inspections of the product, additionally, sit as needed, use hands to finger dexterity, handle, and/or feel. + Additionally, reach with hands and arms.
