Slitter Operator
**Job Title: Slitter Operator** **Job Description** Responsible and accountable for the overall quality and quantity of the slitting run, including proper documentation and ensuring that all processes meet Quality Assurance standards. **Responsibilities** + Slit master roll material to customer-specified dimensions as noted on the Manufacturing Order. + Setup master roll for runs. + Review SharePoint briefing notes before starting run and make necessary adjustments. + Ensure run meets Quality Assurance standards. + Perform splices according to specifications. + Complete computer Web Map documentation for each Master Roll according to Quality Assurance requirements. + Update Radius ERP with master roll usage. + Update SharePoint with operator notes on the run to explain data. + Cut cores and ensure proper packaging materials for skidding. + Properly label and pack finished products. + Track and record all scrap. + Complete all generated rewinds. + Troubleshoot and perform preventative maintenance on equipment daily and weekly. + Prepare presses, run web press, communicate with helpers for press jobs, operate running press, and perform job clean-up. **Essential Skills** + Mechanical aptitude. + Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. + Ability to follow directions. + Mechanical aptitude (critical for progression within the company). **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Machine operating experience. + Slitting experience. + Ability to use a ruler. + Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools. + Motivated and looking for a career. **Why Work Here?** Join a great family-owned company with a strong culture that offers full benefits, 401K, and plenty of growth potential. The work environment is a large, newer, well-lit, and very clean facility with a light odor due to the product made.
