Job Title: Slitting Machine Operator
Job Description

Set up and operate Cutting & Roll Wrapping Machines. Cut cores to size for slitter, ensuring proper supplies of cores for Slitting Jobs. Weigh plastic rolls and label properly. Palletize rolls and deliver to finished goods area. Follow GMP’s and PRP’s and production SOP’s. Conduct final inspection of rolls according to Final Inspection procedure. Report all unsafe acts and conditions to the department group leaders and managers immediately. Repeatable motions, lifting up to 30-50 lbs.

Work Environment

500,000 sqft facility where safety is a top priority. Extremely clean and well-organized with GMP standards. Safety Shoes, Hair Net, Ear Plugs, and Safety Glasses are required. Departments include Print, Lamination, Slitting, Warehouse, and Maintenance. Strong tenured workforce. Recent investment of new machinery ($8 million) with additional capital expenditure planned throughout the next 3-5 years ($80 million). Updated breakrooms with a new self-serve vending process.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Elk Grove Village, Illinois.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.44 - $22.44/hr.
