ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Anticipates the needs of the guest and provides fast, flawless service. Executes all service programs to ensure prioritization of service to the very best guests. Checks for satisfaction and properly uses the Service Recovery process to resolve problems when they exist.
Promotes Caesars Rewards programs and Caesars Rewards registration and membership. Provides a warm farewell and thanks guests for visiting.
Promotes Caesars and always projects Caesars in a positive light to guests. Will serve as verifier for jackpot payout, credit owed procedures, and internal controls.
• Handles payout of hand-paid jackpots by company policies, procedures, and internal controls, as well as Virginia Lottery Gaming rules and regulations.
• Responds to slot machines to resolve guest complaints and/or inquiries promptly.
• Proactively builds relationships with guests.
• Resolves minor slot machine malfunctions, as needed.
• Notifies Shift Supervisor or Shift Manager of guest needs and requests and follows up to ensure position guest relations.
• Maintains slot floor security by notifying department management of any suspicious activity.
• Maintains working knowledge of all local jurisdictional gaming laws (federal, state, and local) and attendant regulations as well as company internal controls.
• Notifies Shift Supervisor of any pertinent issues, as needed.
• Authorizes overrides up to $500.00.
• Conducts a Buzz Session.
• Assists with potential new hires, in training new Slot Hosts and in facilitating refresher courses.
Must comply with all applicable Internal Controls, Standard Operating Procedures, and all VA Lottery Regulations.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must possess strong communication and guest service skills. Money handling experience preferred. Basic computer knowledge is required. Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate license through the Virginia Lottery.
PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:
Must be able to maneuver in and around the casino and public areas. Must be able to walk, bend, stoop, and reach above your head and must be able to sit or stand for prolonged periods. Must have manual dexterity and coordination to operate office equipment, and handle currency, coins, and keys. Must be able to respond calmly and make rational decisions when dealing with difficult guest and employee conflicts. Must be able to speak distinctly and persuasively to others. Must be able to respond to visual cues and be able to distinguish between colors. Must be able to tolerate and work in areas containing secondhand smoke loud noises, bright lights, and dust. Ability to differentiate between various denominations of currency & coin.
