SLOT ATTENDANT-SLOT OPERATIONS-BH-FT-VARIES

SUMMARY:

 

Responsible for providing efficient service to all guest and ensures slot machines are monitored on a continual basis for full capacity operation.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

Monitors the operation of assigned slot machines and participates in payout of manual jackpots in accordance with policy. Complete written department forms to document cash transactions, jackpot payouts, etc., in a legible manner, assists customers on a timely basis with requests for change. Maintain secure key controls at all times. Perform minor machine maintenance and reset machines with keys. Knowledge of local jurisdiction gaming laws (federal, state, etc.) and attendant regulations as well as the Company’s internal controls, policies and procedures. Promotes departmental and property-wide promotions with all Customers. Comply with policies and procedures required by the department and the company. Complete and document transactions according to procedures and maintain an accurate wallet. Maintains the highest degree of confidentiality. Leads by setting a positive example to all associates. Responsible for maintaining a consistent, regular attendance record May be asked to work in a slot booth, completing functions as a cashier.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

AGE and GAMING:

21 years of age or above

Gaming property – Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license issued by the Choctaw Gaming Commission.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High School diploma or GED is required.  Previous money handling experience is required.

TESTING:

Must score a minimum of 85% on the Basic Math test, achieve a score of 90% or better on the Slot Math Quiz.  Must take the required testing identified for this position.

SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Strong organizational and interpersonal skills required.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

                Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.    Ability to write simple correspondence.  Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to Customers and other Associates of the company. 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s.  Ability to perform these operations using units of American money.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.  Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Essential responsibilities include physical ability such as lift or maneuver at least fifty (50) pounds, and standing/walking 100% of the shift.  Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, climb, reach, twist, and grip throughout shift.

The noise level in the work environment is loud.  When on the casino floor or other designated areas may be subjected to tobacco smoke. 

Due to the unpredictable nature of the hospitality/entertainment industry, Associates must be able to work varying-schedules to reflect the business needs of the property.
