**Position Overview** The Slotting Specialist will analyze product placement, maximize production efficiency through effective Slotting best practices, conduct warehouse analysis, and maintain system related logic that affects production work. The work of the Slotting Specialist is based on changing business demands and continuous improvement initiatives for larger, longer-term slotting activities. This role indirectly oversees and supports a regional team of local Slotters and aids the Slotting Manager to execute and maintain slotting programs while driving operational efficiency. This role partners with key Supply Chain groups (e.g. Operations, Operations Planning, Procurement, Transportation, etc.) in the development and implementation of warehouse programs to drive efficiency and manage business needs across multiple facilities. **Job Description** **Description** + Design, Deploy, Manage Strategic Projects:Utilize the company's Slotting Playbook, analytical processes and slotting best practices to optimize product placement within the warehouse. Make continuous improvement recommendations to managementDesign and implement optimization and efficiency projects (i.e. customer separation, travel reduction, slot type optimizations, etc.) including (but not limited to) the following: Item-level product allocation to slotting methods and facility geographyDeploy best practices across the region and replicate national best practices within your home region and foster an environment of continuous improvementSupport operational business and facility change projects to provide word-class slotting services. + Lead, Coach and Drive Results:Partner with the VP of Distribution Operations and site leadership teams to plan and execute successful project startups.Work closely with site leadership to improve building capacity and quality, reduce damage, and drive improved quality and ergonomic excellence.Coach and guide local site Slotters to execute slotting plans. Support the Regional Slotting Manager in staffing and training needs.Work with Operations Management team in their respective facilitates to ensure each Slotter is utilizing the tools and processes to effectively manage the routine slotting function to the corporate standards.The Slotting Specialist will periodically oversee and manage the slotting team as projects and business requirements dictate. + Analytical, Technical:The Slotting Specialist should be able to use Microsoft (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) as well as Google Tools (Sheets, Slides, Docs, Gmail)Experience working knowledge of data-mining tools such as SQL, BigQuery, Access, Oracle.The Slotting Specialist should have a general knowledge of Warehouse Management systems (WIC's, Infor's EXE, TriCeps) and a willingness to learn new systems as business requirement change. + Travel Required:Yes **Environment** + Warehouse : Grocery Warehouse (50F to 90F) + Warehouse : Perishable Warehouse (28F to 60F) + Warehouse : Freezer (-20F to 0F) **Skills** + Specialized Knowledge : Systems Knowledge inclusive of WIC's, EXE, TriCeps, Excel, Google, Microsoft Office Suite + Special Skills : Ability to work with various project Stakeholders in fast pace environment. + Physical abilities: : Walking, bending, lifting and lowering cases up to 50lbs + Other: : Flexible work schedule as it supports project and operational needs.
