Job Title: Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)
Location: Orange County, CA
Job Summary: Amergis Educational Staffing is seeking a dedicated and skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team. The SLP will provide education-based therapy services to students across preschool, elementary, middle, and high school settings. The ideal candidate will be passionate about making a positive impact on students' communication abilities and overall academic success.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify students' speech, language, and communication needs.
+ Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and goals as part of the students' Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
+ Provide direct therapy services to students with varying exceptionalities, including speech, language, and social/pragmatic disorders.
+ Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support students' communication goals and ensure a cohesive approach to their education.
+ Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of student progress, therapy sessions, and IEPs.
+ Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of measurable goals and objectives.
+ Provide training and resources to school staff and parents to support students' communication development.
+ Stay current with best practices and continuing education in the field of speech-language pathology.
Qualifications:
+ Master's Degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology.
+ Current Certification of Clinical Competency from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
+ Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist in California.
+ Experience working with children in an educational setting is preferred.
+ Strong knowledge of evidence-based practices in speech and language therapy.
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
+ Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
