The McGuire Group is seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team at Garden Gate Nursing & Rehab in Cheektowaga, NY. As an SLP, you will play a key role in helping our residents improve their communication, swallowing, and cognitive skills, ensuring they live their best lives while receiving high-quality care in a supportive environment.  *Occasional support to another McGuire Facility maybe needed based on therapy needs. 

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct assessments and evaluations for residents with speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on resident needs and goals. Provide therapeutic interventions to enhance communication and swallowing abilities. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including nursing, therapy, and medical staff, to coordinate care and ensure residents' progress. Educate residents, families, and staff on strategies for improving communication and swallowing. Maintain accurate documentation of treatment progress and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.

Qualifications:

Current and active Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license in New York State. Previous experience in a skilled nursing or rehabilitation setting preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team. Passion for working with elderly residents and improving their quality of life.
