Who we're looking for

Zendesk is hiring! We're looking for a motivated self-starter who has a consultative sales approach, provides excellent customer experience, and offers polished presentation skills. As a SMB Account Executive, you will be responsible for crafting, leading and closing net new sales opportunities & handle existing accounts within the United States.

Ideal candidates will possess a consistent record in Software / SaaS sales along with outstanding interpersonal skills. As an Account Executive, you love hunting for new opportunities and are able to close new accounts while developing existing customer relationships. You have a passion for building and maintaining broad relationships, developing opportunities, and working cross-functionally within Zendesk. You are a creative, out-of-the-box problem solver who is able to articulate Zendesk's platform vision. You can sell at the most strategic level and form strategies for winning customers on board along with being a trusted advisor. You are also fun and love being part of a team that sells together!

What you'll be doingExceed activity, pipeline, and revenue goals on a monthly and weekly basisProspect for potential customers using various direct methods such as cold calling and indirect approaches such as networking (using tools like LinkedIn, Sales Navigator, Lusha, and Outreach)Generate new business and demonstrate the ability to grow an extensive, qualified pipelineBecome a guide on Zendesk's products and conduct discovery calls, presentations, and demos with prospects and customersWeekly and monthly reporting on sales forecastsTrack all opportunity and customer details including use case, purchase time frames, next steps, and forecasting in SalesforceWhat you bring to the roleBachelor's degree with 3-5 years of full-cycle Sales experience within the Software / SaaS industryConsistent track record of success against quota at the SMB levelFluency in English is required, along with excellent communicationReal passion for technology and the ability to learn about tools and processes quicklyOutstanding organizational and multi-tasking skills, while handling high volumes of opportunities simultaneouslyAbility to grow in a fast-paced environment, move quickly, think strategically and be superb at tactical execution

The US annualized OTE (On Target Earnings) range for this position is $99,000.00-$149,000.00 with a pay mix of 60/40 (base/commission). This position may also be eligible for bonus, benefits, or related incentives. While this range reflects the minimum and maximum value for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations, the offer for the successful candidate for this position will be based on job related capabilities, applicable experience, and other factors such as work location. Please note that the compensation details listed in US role postings reflect the base salary only (or OTE for commissions based roles), and do not include bonus, benefits, or related incentives.

Hybrid: In this role, our hybrid experience is designed at the team level to give you a rich onsite experience packed with connection, collaboration, learning, and celebration - while also giving you flexibility to work remotely for part of the week. This role must attend our local office for part of the week. The specific in-office schedule is to be determined by the hiring manager.
