SMT Engineer

Volt is hiring a SMT Engineer for our client in Deland Florida for their state-of -the art facility!

In this role you support day-to-day operations, effectiveness and influence the next generation of designs. Our SMT Engineers are responsible for implementation, support and direction for reengineering and optimization of manufacturing process, equipment technology, and lean manufacturing process.

\r\n\r\n

As an SMT Engineer you will:

\r\n\r\n\r\n\t\r\n\t\t\r\n\t\t\t\r\n\t\t\t

\r\n\r\n\t\t\t\r\n\t\t\t\tReview design documentation, materials, and designs for manufacturability.\r\n\t\t\t\tProvide pre and post manufacturing reviews and finalize process issues.\r\n\t\t\t\tDrive to reach zero defects by continually improving processes.\r\n\t\t\t\tImprovement of Surface Mount Technology (SMT) related processes.\r\n\t\t\t\tIdentify and improve product quality, process capability and product reliability.\r\n\t\t\t\tMonitor the SMT process and necessary controls working with production, quality assurance, supervision, and others.\r\n\t\t\t\tUse statistical process control and provide direct, hands-on support of SMT manufacturing processes.\r\n\t\t\t\tStencil design for complex circuit boards.\r\n\t\t\t\tProgramming in Pick and Place, AOI and SPI.\r\n\t\t\t\r\n\r\n\t\t\t

This is a full time, Direct Hire opportunity.

The Ideal Candidate will have:

\r\n\r\n\t\t\t

Machine Operation Experience-as this is a MUST Have!

\r\n\r\n\t\t\t\r\n\t\t\t\tSolid process engineering experience in the SMT printed circuit board industry.\r\n\t\t\t\tBachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Materials Science, Mechanical).\r\n\t\t\t\tA minimum of 5 years’ experience and progressively increasing responsibility in the design, execution, and sustaining of manufacturing processes and technologies.\r\n\t\t\t\tPrior manufacturing engineering experience with technical leadership in high-reliability SMT.\r\n\t\t\t\tThorough knowledge of validation principles, manufacturing processes, quality systems, and engineering design fundamentals.\r\n\t\t\t\tTechnical knowledge of reading blueprints, schematics, electrical/engineering drawings, and electrical and automation programming aptitude.\r\n\t\t\t\r\n\r\n\t\t\t

Salary is between $12000.00-125000.00 per year.
