Job SummaryTo support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Equipment Maintenance Engineer located in Flex Batam.
Reporting to the Operations Engineering Manager the Equipment Maintenance Engineer role is responsible to repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment such as conveyor systems and production machines and equipment. Maintains and troubleshoots in-circuit and functional testers, associated test fixtures, stress chambers and chamber racks to ensure manufacturing test equipment is on-line.
What a typical day looks like:
Through troubleshooting, identifies machine malfunctions and isolates the failure mechanism.Repairs the failure mechanism in the most cost-effective manner.Performs preventive maintenance at specified intervals and schedules.Performs calibrations and re-qualifications on equipment at specified intervals and schedules.Assists process technicians and engineers with the installation and removal of process equipment.Researches and implements corrective action reports and process tracking mechanisms.Records times and problems in equipment logs.Provides daily equipment functioning activity information.Sets up standard and special purpose laboratory equipment to test, evaluate and calibrate other instruments and test equipment.Disassembles instruments and equipment and inspects components for defects.Aligns repairs, replaces, and balances component parts and circuitry.Devises formulas to solve problems in measurements and calibrations.Assists engineers in formulating test, calibration, repair and evaluation plans and procedures to maintain precision accuracy of measuring, recording, and indicating instruments and equipment.May require travel to other Flex sites or equipment vendors' locations.Highest level may perform both software and hardware maintenance.Allocating work to a team of fitters.Checking and calibrating instruments to make sure they are accurate.Fitting new parts.Carrying out quality inspections.Acknowledging immediately to equipment breakdowns.Fixing faults on site or arranging for replacement machinery or equipment to be installed.Keeping production managers informed of progress.Organizing teams or unipersonal to make sure that 24-hour cover is available.Working on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic or computerized systems.The experience we’re looking to add to our team:
Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field or equivalent experience and training.Typically requires a minimum of 2 years’ experience developing, implementing and maintaining quality systems or related area.Ability to interface and communicate with different levels of the organization, and the customersWell organized & disciplined, good attention to detail, sets priorities and manages time effectivelyAccurate, data-driven, logical, and analyticalSMT/PCBA experience preferredWhat you’ll receive for the great work you provide:
