**Job Title: SMT Operator** **Job Description** We are seeking a skilled SMT Operator for 1st shift (7am-3:30pm) or 2nd shift (3pm-11:30pm). The role involves hand placement and alignment of surface mount technology (SMT) components in a high mix, quick-turn environment. Training will be provided in the first week from 7am-3:30pm. The position includes pulling parts from customer inventory, verifying solder print quality, and setting up and processing assemblies in the SMT reflow oven. **Responsibilities** + Pull parts from customer inventory + Verify solder print quality + Hand place and align SMT components down to 0402, fine pitch, and BGA packages + Set up and process assemblies in SMT reflow oven + Verify sample solder quality + Perform First Article verification using assembly instructions + Update SMT and Reflow record logs + Read and understand detailed Assembly Instructions (A.I.) + Follow ANSI/ESD S20.20 and IPC-A-610 standards + Interpret part values by color code or numerical values + Confirm part value using digital multi-meter and LCR meter + Identify manufacturer’s part number markings and critical component features + Identify, document, and report non-conforming material + Inspect solder joint quality **Essential Skills** + Familiar with ESD handling procedures per ANSI/ESD S20.20 + Knowledge of IPC-A-610 and IPC J-STD-001 + Ability to read and understand Assembly Instructions (A.I.) + Basic English skills + Computer proficiency for basic mouse clicks and opening applications **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Mechanically inclined + Experience with machine operation and production assembly + Familiarity with tools such as calipers and general production tools + Experience in electromechanical assembly and medical devices + 1-3 years of Production/Manufacturing experience (training provided for entry-level operators) + Good job tenure (2-3 years in each job) **Why Work Here?** We offer full benefits, 401k, and vacation/PTO.
