Job Title: SMT Operator
Job Description

You will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining SMT machines used in the assembly of electronic components onto printed circuit boards (PCBs). You will ensure the machines run efficiently, troubleshoot issues, and perform quality checks on the assembled boards.

ResponsibilitiesSet up, prep, and operate SMT machines.Follow company manufacturing work instructions and process sheets.Inspect finished products according to company quality procedures and requirements.Work as a team player to accomplish production goals.Document production results accurately.Maintain a clean working area and use required safety and quality (ESD) equipment.Perform preventative maintenance according to maintenance schedules.Essential SkillsMinimum 1-2 years of experience operating SMT automated insertion machines.Ability to follow verbal and written machine operating/work instructions in English.Proficient in identifying and reading electronic components and polarity.Strong electronics inspection skills and adherence to company quality requirements.Proficient in all stages of operating and maintenance of SMT equipment.Familiarity with IPC-A-610 standards for electronic assembly acceptability.Familiarity with 5S and ESD handling procedures.Ability to perform highly detailed visual inspections of complex SMT assemblies.Basic computer skills and the ability to use applications like Microsoft Word.Ability to stand all day and lift up to 35 lbs.Additional Skills & QualificationsSolderingSMTSolderSurface mountSMT solderingElectronicsElectronic assemblySurface-mount technologyWhy Work Here?

You will be working in a manufacturing setting, standing for long periods, and handling electronic components with care. The environment follows 5S and ESD handling procedures to ensure safety and efficiency.

This is a Contract position based out of Salem, Oregon.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $19.00/hr.
