SMT Technician Please send Resumes to *jwesley@actalentservices.com*Job Description Setup and operate assigned production equipment, using both automated equipment and manual placement, while achieving goals for quality, efficiency, and productivity. Monitor the operation of equipment to ensure that assemblies are built to print and in compliance with applicable workmanship standards. Ensure that equipment and processes remain within acceptable parameters through quality audits, monitoring, and troubleshooting. Responsibilities + Setup and operate assigned production equipment using both automated and manual placement techniques. + Monitor equipment operation to ensure assemblies meet quality and workmanship standards. + Conduct quality audits and troubleshooting to keep equipment and processes within acceptable parameters. + Read and interpret blueprints, job orders, specifications, drawings, schematics, process sheets, wiring diagrams, and small print. + Identify and apply different types of solder paste. + Use a variety of hand tools, including calipers. + Troubleshoot and correct mechanical problems with production equipment. + Maintain high levels of accuracy and attention to detail to produce quality results. Essential Skills + Ability to read and interpret blueprints, job orders, specifications, drawings, schematics, process sheets, wiring diagrams, and small print. + Intermediate proficiency in MS Office applications (Word and Excel). + Basic understanding of SMT theories (e.g., reflow profiling, screen printing defects). + Ability to read and understand load plans. + Advanced component identification skills. + Recognize and identify different types of solder paste and their applications. + Mechanical ability to troubleshoot and correct mechanical problems with production equipment. + Attention to detail and high level of accuracy. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or equivalent. Work Environment The role is based on the manufacturing floor. Available shifts include first shift M-F from 7:00am-3:30pm and weekend shift F-S from 3:15pm-3:45am. Overtime is offered with the potential for up to 40 hours per month for a bonus. There is an opportunity for this role to transition into a Process Engineer position after gaining an understanding of the process and product. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $26.00 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
