Rambus, a premier chip and silicon IP provider, is seeking to hire an exceptional SMTS Software QA to join our Silicon IP team in San Jose. Candidates will be joining some of the brightest inventors and engineers in the world to develop products that make data faster and safer.

 

As a SMTS Software QA , the candidate will be reporting to the Sr Dir Engineering and is a Full Time position.We are seeking a seasoned QA engineer to spearhead our Hardware Modeling initiative. This role involves leading the development of test infrastructures, test plans, test automation and test execution of Rambus’ Silicon IP hardware modeling verification efforts. 

  

Rambus offers a flexible work environment, embracing a hybrid approach for the majority of our office-based roles. We encourage employees to spend an average of at least three days per week working onsite, allowing for two days of remote work.

Responsibilities

Testing and Documentation: 

Coordinate the development, execution, and maintenance of test cases and environments. Ensure comprehensive documentation of test strategies, plans, and test cases, as well as accurate recording of test results. Lead the analysis of test results, identifying key areas for product improvement. 

Quality Control and Assurance: 

Develop and maintain quality metrics to measure and enhance testing effectiveness. Facilitate regular code reviews and testing sessions to identify and resolve potential issues early in the development cycle. Support the debugging and resolution of issues, working closely with the development teams. 

Stakeholder Engagement: 

Communicate testing progress, insights, and outcomes to stakeholders at all levels, including technical teams and executive management. Interface with hardware design and architecture teams to ensure cohesive product strategies.  Qualifications Proven experience as a QA team lead in a technology-driven environment. Strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes, especially in embedded systems development. Hands-on experience with test automation. Advanced knowledge and hands-on experience with Python, pytest. Excellent planning, organizational, and leadership skills. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Minimum bachelor’s degree in computer science/engineering. Nice-to-have: Experiences with UVM verification test bench are bonuses. Experiences with testing of Transaction Level Modeling/SystemC models

The US salary range for this full-time position is $92,800.00 to $172,400.00.  Our salary ranges are determined by role, level and location. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location and market conditions.
