Warriors to Smurfit Westrock SkillBridge Program \u202F Thank you for your interest in participating in the Smurfit Westrock SkillBridge Program.\u202F Most of all, thank you for your service. Our Military & Veteran Engagement Program is dedicated to attracting, employing, and retaining military and veterans. At Smurfit Westrock, selected full-time positions have been made into SkillBridge Program opportunities. These roles are unique opportunities for\u202FActive-Duty US Armed Forces service members\u202Fwith authorization to participate in the\u202FDoD SkillBridge program\u202Fas directed by their respective command.\u202F The Smurfit WestRock\u202FSkillBridge Program is a 90-day training program located at select manufacturing plant locations across the U.S.\u202FDuring the program, participants will be trained in various disciplines as it pertains to the operations of a paper and packaging plant.\u202FTraining curriculum includes\u202Frequired tasks in operations, maintenance, production, shipping/receiving, quality, and safety. Prior to the completion of the 90-day program, participants will be given an opportunity to interview for a full-time position in one of these departments at the plant.\u202FAll our SkillBridge Program opportunities are intended to give participants industry exposure and on-the-job work experience.\u202FParticipants will be given an opportunity to interview for a full-time position towards the end of the program. Program Requirements Must be an active-duty U.S. Military member with 180 days of time in service remaining.\u202F Active-duty National Guard and Reserve members should contact their local Education and/or Transition Office for more information on SkillBridge Program eligibility. Must meet DoD SkillBridge Program qualifications to participate in the program. [1] DOD SkillBridge Program (osd.mil) Received Unit Commander (first O-4/Field Grade commander in chain of command) written authorization and approval to participate in DoD SkillBridge Program prior to start of program.
