**Position Summary**
**Brief Overview**
Drives the performance of assigned operational areas within a distribution center facility. Contributes to profit, expense, and customer service goal achievement, as well as compliance with organizational standards and regulatory requirements.
**What you will do:**
+ Communicates direction for Distribution Center processes to managers, supervisors, and individual contributors, and ensures methods align with organizational goals and objectives.
+ Analyzes the performance of company programs and initiatives to assess progress against goals.
+ Leads the execution of short and long-term strategy for the assigned distribution center, leveraging goals and initiatives from the enterprise and overall supply chain.
+ Optimizes facility product flow and building capacity, partnering with resources as needed to drive current and future state.
+ Ensures timely, secure, and accurate deliveries of products through the optimum deployment of delivery resources within expense/profit target parameters.
+ Collaborates with organizational partners to support the distribution center network and supply chain strategies and business goals.
+ Analyzes areas of opportunity within the distribution center and partners across the enterprise to identify best-in-class solutions.
+ Manages operational aspects of the team (e.g., budget, performance, and compliance), and implements workforce and succession plans to meet business needs.
**Position Summary**
In conjunction with the Distribution Center Director, the Senior Operations Manager is responsible for the overall performance of the Distribution Center to include warehouse operations, store delivery, inventory management, localized store services, asset management, and human resources administration.
-Direct the planning, organizing, scheduling, forecasting, and coordination of work in all operational areas in order to meet production schedules and operational goals.
-Review/analyze production, quality, and other operational results to ensure a high level of service to store operations.
-Develop and implement plans, procedures, programs, and strategies to enhance performance, service level, and cost-per-piece.
-Prepare facility budget and control expenditures against approved budget.
-Ensure the administration of policies/procedures in a fair and consistent manner.
-Professionally address issues with the management team, individually and collectively, utilizing the proper resources.
-Develop an accountable, management staff with an emphasis on team building, communication, performance accountability, and positive employee relations management.
-Ensure maximum utilization of manpower and equipment.
-Promote and reinforce safety and security among the management team.
-Develop, implement, and manage various programs that enhance team building and management development.
-Practice motivational management methods that instill partnership, ownership, and a pro-active management approach when conducting the many operational facets of the business.
-Establish and maintain effective relationships with Store Operations, Purchasing, Co-Op Advertising, General Accounting, Loss Prevention, Human Resources and various other Corporate Departments.
-Perform other related duties as assigned by Director.
**Required Qualifications**
+ Minimum 5 years of work experience as a Operations Manager/Sr. Ops Manager in a Distribution Center/Warehouse
+ Minimum of 5 years of experience in managerial/leadership positions in a Distribution Center/Warehouse
+ Prior experience in retail or distribution/warehousing.
+ 3+ years implementing LEAN principles and 5S
+ **Preferred Qualifications**
+ Proven ability to drive culture and results.
+ Experience developing talent at multiple levels.
+ Regular and reliable attendance.
+ Functional experience with Warehouse Management System (WMS)
+ Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and other distribution center reporting tools.
+ Ability to think and act strategically.
+ Experience managing federal and state laws to ensure compliance in the operation.
+ Frequent standing, walking, and climbing stairs.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
+ Excellent time management.
+ Able to drive significant, strategic projects to completion independently.
+ Ability to partner with all levels of management in a cross-functional in a matrix team environment.
+ Experience leading safety programs and OSHA health & safety regulations.
+ Experience with financial analysis and budget preparations
Prior experience within a large sized warehouse
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees.
• Ability to analyze information effectively and consistently.
• Ability to complete assignments within established timelines.
• Ability to work under general supervision.
• Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred
**Education**
Bachelor's degree preferred/specialized training/relevant professional qualification.
**Pay Range**
The typical pay range for this role is:
$75,400.00 - $165,954.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
