Snowmaker Level 1
Overview As a Level 1 Snowmaker, you will brave the elements and help build out the mountain in a safe and efficient manner. Snowmaking is a physically demanding and exciting job with many unique perks! Schedule availability: 6:45 AM - 7 PM, or 6:45 PM - 7 AM Weekdays, weekends, holidays. Overtime required. Hours are weather dependent. Responsibilities After an orientation period and on-the-job training, the successful candidate will be expected to: Operate high voltage equipment, high pressure air and water systems utilizing appropriate safety precautions Set up, tear down, and maintain snowmaking equipment in a safe and efficient manner on any trail that has snowmaking on it Work on the production of snow to create the best skiing surface Perform general maintenance and housekeeping of buildings, equipment, snow guns, and hoses Responsible for checking out and returning all tools, headlamps, and radios to original locations Unconditionally use the appropriate PPE required for the various types of work to be done Report any needed repairs or malfunctions to the supervisors Receive daily work instruction and complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision Be willing to help in other departments during peak periods Respect all team members and maintain a positive attitude throughout the shift Complete other duties as assigned by management or supervisor with a positive attitude Qualifications Qualified applicants must be at least 18 years old Skill level- entry level Valid driver’s license with no restrictions Must be able to communicate fluently in English Be able to lift, bend, kneel, and carry up to 75 lbs.
