Overview Bring your passion for snowboarding! Base wages PLUS a seasonal loyalty bonus! Freestyle coaches will teach terrain park skiing and snowboarding fundamentals, safety, and techniques to progress students’ abilities. Come work and play at Seattle’s home mountain, The Summit at Snoqualmie. Located an hour from Seattle, at the junction where the Pacific Crest Trail crosses Interstate 90. With summer activities ramping up with spectacular Mountain Biking trails and Scenic Lift Rides, there is lots to do all year long. Responsibilities Job duties may include, but are not limited to: Effectively communicate with internal partners, leaders, colleagues and external guests, as appropriate. Identify guest interests using our terrain based and/or skill-based levels, a conversational understanding of their background as well as their expectations for the programming they purchased. Meet schedule commitments to cover programming (i.e., products, prices, times, locations). Help cover as many of the 21 Red Days (peak business demand days) as possible. Get involved in training and pursue your professional development. Actively assess your own skills and seek feedback and guidance from others that can support your development. Qualifications What we are looking for: Good communication is essential and helps enhance the workplace. Willingness to work with children, teens and adults of various ages, experience, athletic abilities, emotional and social backgrounds, ethnicity, and desires as it relates to snow sports. Ability to learn, evolve, adapt, and change as a coach and snow sports athlete. Ability to guide quality snow sport experiences for guests, time and time again. While NOT mandatory, IFSA, USSA or PSIA/AASI Freestyle Certification is favored. Click Here for Full Job Description Join our team and enjoy The Summit Experience year round! Wage and Benefit Info: Base Wage Dependent Upon Certifications: from $17.50 to $22.00 Certs/Dual Discipline Hourly Stipend: from $0.25 to $1.00 Accreditations Hourly Stipends: from $0.50 to $1.50 Tenure >1 year - Hourly Stipend: from $0.50 to $2.50 Product Incentives - hourly/student: from $0.75 to $8.00 End of Season loyalty bonus: 5% of Gross Wages This is a non-benefited role. All individuals may contribute to the 401(k). An employee must work 1,000 hours in a calendar year to qualify for the discretionary match (there is a 2 year vesting cliff). All individuals accrue sick time at 1 hour per 40 hours worked to a maximum of 64 hours per year.
