Overview Bring your passion for skiing! Base wages PLUS a seasonal loyalty bonus! As our SnowSports Nordic Instructor, you will help our guests safely learn to classic and skate ski, so that they can have a memorable day in the mountains with the goal of creating lifelong skiers and snowboarders. Come work and play at Seattleās home mountain, The Summit at Snoqualmie. Located an hour from Seattle, at the junction where the Pacific Crest Trail crosses Interstate 90. With summer activities ramping up with spectacular Mountain Biking trails and Scenic Lift Rides, there is lots to do all year long. Responsibilities Job duties may include, but are not limited to: Clearly and accurately instruct assigned lesson levels to students in alignment with PSIA teaching standard Work collaboratively with team mates and leads to help form groups of similar interests and abilities. Follow uniform guidelines when wearing and caring for your uniform as outlined in the employee guide. Get involved in training and pursue your professional development. Identify and evaluate guest experiences and share valuable insights with your leaders. Assist with non-teaching guest service functions including but not limited to snow removal, snow fencing and on hill animation, boot fitting, running the magic carpet, etc. Can assist in all base area and mountain activities which may include snow removal, trash removal and any other duties as assigned by manager. Qualifications What we are looking for: Have excellent guest service skills. Able to work holidays and weekends per seasonal demands and business needs. Flexible with work days and hours Sixteen (16) years or older at the time of hire PSIA - AASI Certification, a plus. Able to pass pre-employment background screening. Wage and Benefit Info: Base Wage Dependent Upon Certifications: from $17.50 to $22.00 Certs/Dual Discipline Hourly Stipend: from $0.25 to $1.00 Accreditations Hourly Stipends: from $0.50 to $1.50 Tenure >1 year - Hourly Stipend: from $0.50 to $2.50 Product Incentives - hourly/student: from $0.75 to $8.00 End of Season loyalty bonus: 5% of Gross Wages This is a non-benefited role. All individuals may contribute to the 401(k). An employee must work 1,000 hours in a calendar year to qualify for the discretionary match (there is a 2 year vesting cliff). All individuals accrue sick time at 1 hour per 40 hours worked to a maximum of 64 hours per year.
