**About the Role:**
As a CBRE Snr Building Automation System Engineer, you will provide program oversight in the operation and maintenance of all building automation systems to improve efficiency and minimize costs.
This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.
**What You’ll Do:**
+ Maintain a total facilities systems management program which includes all the various connected and separate electrical, mechanical, life, and safety systems that are operational in a facility.
+ Align with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency, and company directives related to system operations and work safety.
+ Inspect systems to ensure the operation of equipment is within design capabilities and achieves operational conditions prescribed by the client.
+ Lead all aspects of scope development, work request initiation, scheduling, and inspection of work performed by outside contractors, which includes proprietary work, licensed installations, upgrades, and maintenance and inspection of specialized systems.
+ Respond quickly to emergency situations, summoning assistance as needed.
+ Review assigned work orders. Estimate time, resources, and order vital materials to complete repairs.
+ Perform and complete assigned repairs and emergency and preventive maintenance as required.
+ Fulfill the required and assigned training at a satisfactory level.
+ Participate in all related programs & activities as the need arises. This includes incident investigations, interviews, auditing, and assessment.
+ Report any conditions which you feel could result in an accident or injury and stop work if required.
+ Apply knowledge of standard principles and techniques/procedures to tackle sophisticated assignments and offer creative ideas.
+ Mentor and share in-depth knowledge of own job subject area and broad knowledge of several job fields within the function with Building Engineer and Technicians on accurate maintenance procedures.
+ Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Work to build consensus and convince others to reach an agreement.
+ Impact a range of customer, operational, project, or service activities within own team and other related teams.
+ Ability to write BMS strategic plan for upgrades and expansions.
+ Explain difficult or sensitive information.
**What You’ll Need:**
+ High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma or equivalent experience with 4-5 years of job-related experience. Licenses or certifications as may be required by local applicable law or ordinance. Prior Project Management experience preferred.
+ Knowledge of Metasys BMS software experience.
+ Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
+ Ability to exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.
+ Willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions.
+ Microsoft Office products: Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
+ Organizational skills with a sophisticated inquisitive approach.
