Snubbing Operator

Join our team of well-intervention specialists! The Snubbing Operator will operate the unit by forcing pipe and pipe-related equipment into a high-pressure well, without killing the well.  Work is rotational in domestic and international locations.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

5+ years of experience in live well operations High School or GED equivalent preferred Ability to pass a post-offer physical examination and drug screen Ability to effectively communicate and instruct personnel to operate equipment Follow safety requirements and actively take part in safety meetings, risk assessments, hazard hunts, and JSAs Basic ability to understand, speak, read, and write English Basic computer skills Advanced knowledge of well control equipment including, BOPs, mud pumps, high-pressure piping, and choke manifolds Responsible for directing crew members while rigging up/down, equipment maintenance, and preparation of equipment for the next project Ability to strip ram to ram or through the annular Ability to operate traveling and stationary slip bowls and demonstrate how to dress bowls with appropriate dies for tubular requirements to complete job Perform Critical Function Tests, weekly routine maintenance inspections and confirm documentation is provided by personnel Provide instruction, information, and training in specific hazard and safe work practices, spill prevention and spill response procedures

WORKING CONDITIONS

Ability to enter confined spaces by use of ladders or other access devices, up to 20 feet. Perform work in all types of environmental and extreme weather conditions. Perform duties with all protective equipment and H2S respirator when required.
