You will ensure SOCAFRICA messaging gains trust and relevance in key markets where the Command operates and highlights the importance of U.S. presence in Africa to the American public. You will use relevant media monitoring services to understand the effects of SOCAFRICA messaging and work with information operations elements to ensure unity of message. You will create communication plans, briefing cards, talking points, assessments and external products and present focused social media content that reflects favorably on SOCAFRICA. **Responsibilities:** + Create communication plans, briefing cards, talking points, assessments, and external products + Write and review articles and captions for journalistic style + Provide continuous social media management on all relevant platforms. + Monitor all relevant platforms for information regarding SOCAFRICA and relevant entities using provided tools. + Identify trends in narrative which should be brought to the Command’s attention. + Produce and assist in producing content for SOCAFRICA social media platforms. + Research and write news releases, stories, features, blogs, and cut-lines. + Produce photographs and videos, and develop other content for dissemination through print and electronic media. + Deploy as necessary to gather news, information, still and video images, and audio files. + Coordinate coverage opportunities with SOCAFRICA staff directorates and subordinate and component commands. + Create material to communicate information to a variety of audiences and to respond to different media requirements. + Create digital video productions for broadcast via the web. + Assist with managing SOCAFRICA web sites and social media accounts. + Evaluate the suitability of documents and files for public dissemination. + Track local, national, and international events that pertain to SOCAF operations and AOR + Support SOCAFRICA staff directorates and subordinate organizations with web site implementation and training. + Operate and maintain the SOCAFRICA Home page. + Oversee SOCAFRICA social networking sites.Engage with international publics on the official web sites and in social media, on behalf of SOCAFRICA. + Act as a liaison to content providers in all subordinate commands and other SOCAFRICA directorates across the theater. + Ensure all content meets the marketing, communications, and style goals of the command. + Ensure all products communicate or reinforce the branding, positioning, and mission of the SOCAFRICA commander. + Alert supervisors to sensitive or potentially sensitive comments by the online public and recommends effective courses of action. + Serve as PAO liaison with web designers on issues related to, but not limited to, Life Cycle Replacement, daily Troubleshooting, and IT deploy-ability of the workforce. + Integrate social media strategy/website strategies into the existing SOCAFRICA PA strategic planning and execution process. + Develop social media campaigns. + Plan and publish day-to-day content across all social media platforms. **Qualifications:** _Required:_ **Education:** + Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant discipline. **Experience:** + 6 years’ experience planning, creating and managing social media enterprise efforts for internationally focused organizations. **Required Skills, Clearances, etc.:** + Secret security clearance. + Expert knowledge of social media platforms and engagement. + Experience with Adobe Creative Suite products. + Excellent written and verbal communications and briefing skills. + Experience with Microsoft Office Applications. _Desired:_ **These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:** + Experience at a COCOM, TSOC, Component Command, and/or Joint Staff. + Experience with website design. + Experience in the AFRICOM AoR. - **________________________________________________________________________________________** **What You Can Expect:** **A culture of integrity.** At CACI, we place character and innovation at the center of everything we do.
