Social Consultant

ERM is seeking motivated Social Consultant who is interested in participating on a variety of projects covering the full spectrum of ERM’s services. The role will be based in Bangkok, Thailand.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Conduct social impact assessments (SIA), report writing and field workAssist in preparing proposals and reports for various related projectsPreparation of environmental approval documentationInvolved in related business and group discussionCarry work that is EIA related to the Capital Delivery Project team as when neededUndertake field assignment if requiredMaintaining positive relationship with clients

REQUIREMENTS:

Degree in BSc, BEng in social performance (e.g. stakeholder engagement, livelihood restoration, land acquisition and resettlement, human rights, gender and vulnerability assessments, cultural heritage, social impact assessment, community development, socioeconomic survey and analysis); Master’s Degree would be an advantage.Minimum 5 years’ experience in the environmental/social fieldComputer Skills Ability to use Microsoft applicationsAbility to keep self-busy and strive for constant improvement and/or developmentAbility to work under supervision to complete necessary tasks but able to work independently on some tasks from time to time.Constantly seeks out opportunities for achievement and advancement of both project/technical work and personal careerHas a ‘can do’ attitudeStrong written and verbal communication skills in English are desired, along with facilitation skillsAbility to build and maintain effective working relationshipsFlexibility to undertake a range of complex tasks and to work hours necessary to meet business objectives.
