Internship Job Description
Our program is designed to mentor and develop talented individuals with strong leadership potential and strategic thinking capability. We are looking for energetic, highly motivated individuals who are currently pursuing a Bachelor’s level (or equivalent) degree. As an intern you will work with a variety of our staff on projects that will help contribute to our broader social impact initiatives. The intern’s responsibilities may vary based on the demands within the department.
The Internship is a 12-week project-based assignment that may include:
Strengthening the effectiveness of various social impact initiatives by developing content and strategy, designing and analyzing surveys, conducting research, feedback sessions and focus groups
Assisting with grant-making and impact investing activities, such as conducting research, developing and analyzing investment strategies, and presenting research findings
Implementing and leading employee engagement opportunities, from planning to execution, including the drafting of internal and communications
Updating internal communication vehicles (e.g., website content) to showcase impact initiatives
Identifying opportunities to highlight social impact initiatives or HPE Foundation grantees externally or at in-person/virtual events
Assisting with systems management and other social impact initiatives, including the HPE Foundation’s grant portfolios

Ideal Candidate Profile
Proven passion for social impact and service to others
Excellent project management, writing, communication, and research skills
Detail-oriented, with excellent problem-solving skills
Demonstrated interest or experience in impact investing
Interest in assessing social, environmental, and economic impact
Quick learner with bias for action
Strong work ethic and self-motivation
Customer service skills, with the ability to interface with global audiences
Organized, with an ability to prioritize time-sensitive assignments
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Prompt and reliable
Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with expected graduation after May 2026. Preferred coursework: business, international development, social justice, social entrepreneurship
