Summary Serves as the Social Media Analyst in a Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA) HQ location. The primary purpose of this position is responsible for all marketing program resources related to patron awareness, branding, consumer advocacy, social media, marketing and business analytics. Leverage emerging trends, platform-specific opportunities, and audience engagement techniques to effectively promote the Commissary benefit and support the Agency's mission. Develop and disseminate diverse data and informational materials to enhance understanding of the Commissary Brand and the Agency's business initiatives, utilizing various social media platforms. Analyze the performance of social media campaigns across multiple platforms using a variety of social media management tools, providing insights to improve engagement and campaign effectiveness. Deliver premier customer service, ensure patron satisfaction with products, and expand the availability and awareness of the Commissary benefit. Identify and implement optimal methods for using social media listening and platform performance tools, offering data-driven and actionable insights to guide strategic decisions. To qualify for this position your resume and supporting documents must show that you possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 grade level or equivalent to at least GS-11 under other Federal service pay systems, private sector, or military. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service program (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Examples of qualifying specialized experience: - Creates and executes social media strategies designed to inform, educate, and engage target audiences, utilizing data-driven insights and platform-specific tools to align with organizational objectives. - Actively engages with audiences by responding to comments and addressing customer inquiries. - Applies quantitative and qualitative analysis methods to evaluate social media performance across multiple channels, measuring campaign effectiveness and ensuring audience engagement and operational efficiency. - Prepares detailed reports and presentations, demonstrating the ability to organize and deliver briefings to managers, fostering understanding and acceptance of findings and recommendations. You must also meet the following requirements by the announcement closing date: - Current and former federal employees in either the competitive or excepted service and current federal employees applying under VEOA eligibility are subject to time-in-grade. The next lower grade level for this position is GS-11. - Current civilian employees must have completed at least 90 days of federal civilian service since their latest non temporary appointment from a competitive referral certificate, known as time after competitive appointment.
