**Job Description**
**Job Title:** Social Media Intern
**Location:** Red Roof
**Department:** Marketing
**Job Summary** **:** The Social Media Intern will have the opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience, learn from industry experts, and contribute to the growth of our brand's online presence and creative evolution across a variety of advertising channels.
**Principal Duties:**
+ **Content Creation:** Assist in creating engaging and visually appealing content for various social media platforms, including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Threads, and LinkedIn.
+ **Analytics and Reporting:** Collaborate with the marketing team to gather and analyze social media metrics to measure the success of campaigns and identify areas for improvement.
+ **Trend Research:** Stay up-to-date with industry trends, social media algorithms, and best practices to suggest innovative ideas for content and campaigns.
+ **Collaboration:** Work closely with the Marketing team and agency partners to ensure cohesive and consistent messaging across all social media platforms.
+ **Creative Development:** Contribute to optimizing our campaign creative through participation in brainstorming sessions, supporting social asset development, and offering fresh perspectives on brand storytelling, visuals, and copy.
+ **Commercial Shoot Execution** : Actively contribute to the execution of commercial shoots through direct, hands-on support. Responsibilities may include setup assistance, behind-the-scenes content creation, and working with creative and production teams to bring campaigns to life on set.

**Basic Qualifications:**
+ Pursuing Bachelor’s Degree with a concentration or major in Marketing or Communications preferred
+ Basic understanding of social media platforms and their features
+ Proficiency in using social media management tools (e.g., Sprinklr) is a plus
+ Knowledge of basic graphic design principles and photo/video editing tools is a bonus
+ Minimum GPA of 3.0 or Higher
+ Candidates must be currently enrolled in a college or university for the Spring 2025 semester – Fall 2026 semester
+ Candidate must be available from May 19, 2025 – August 7, 2025
+ Wawa currently observes a 4-day in office schedule Monday - Thursday with an opportunity to work remote on Friday
