**Social Media Coordinator**
Manulife Wealth & Asset Management is a key area of growth for Manulife Financial Corporation (MFC). It consists of three direct and intermediated customer segments: Retail, Retirement, and Institutional across the US, Canada, Europe, and Asia.
The Social Media Coordinator will play a crucial role in assisting the execution of social media strategies and programs that enhance the WAM brand in key global markets. The successful candidate will focus on supporting the development and distribution of engaging content across our branded social channels, both paid and organic. This role is integral in helping to maintain and grow our social media presence, ensuring consistent brand messaging and supporting the social media employee advocacy program. The Social Media Coordinator will work closely with the Social Media Manager and other team members to ensure alignment with broader marketing objectives and compliance standards.
**Capabilities required include:**
+ Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
+ Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
+ Ability to work collaboratively within a global, highly-matrixed organization
+ Basic understanding of social media platforms, trends, and best practices
+ Familiarity with social media management tools like Hootsuite or Buffer
+ Basic skills in content creation, including copywriting and simple graphic design
+ Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and tools, including emerging AI applications in social media to enhance content creation and scheduling
+ Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining brand consistency
+ Enthusiasm for social media and digital marketing trends
**Responsibilities:**
+ Assist in the creation and scheduling of social media content to support WAM's brand objectives across various platforms
+ Monitor and engage with audiences on social media channels, ensuring timely responses and fostering community engagement
+ Support the execution of social media campaigns, including tracking performance metrics and gathering insights for reporting purposes
+ Assist in maintaining social media content calendars and ensuring alignment with overall marketing strategies
+ Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure content is accurate, relevant, and compliant with regulations
+ Support the social media employee advocacy program by helping to coordinate content distribution and engagement initiatives among employees
+ Conduct social listening and basic research to identify trends and opportunities for content development
+ Assist in the preparation of regular reports on social media performance and engagement metrics
+ Leverage AI tools to enhance content creation, scheduling, and engagement strategies
**Candidate profile**
+ Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field
+ 1-2 years of experience in social media marketing or digital marketing/communications, preferably within the financial services industry
+ Familiarity with key social media platforms, including LinkedIn, X, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and Reddit
+ Basic understanding of direct-to-consumer (D2C) and business-to-business (B2B) social media marketing strategies
+ Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite, basic graphic design tools and AI platforms
+ Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
+ Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a willingness to take initiative
+ Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
+ Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining brand voice and standards

**Salary range is expected to be between**
$47,250.00 CAD - $78,750.00 CAD
