SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER

Essential Function:

The Social Media Manager will be responsible for the strategy, management and daily execution of assigned Sally Beauty channels (including but not limited to, Facebook, Instagram, X, Reddit, TikTok, Pinterest and YouTube) to engage new and existing customers. This person will know social media space well and be able to craft impactful channel and content strategies to help the business with short-term engagement metrics while developing long-term brand loyalists & advocates. The role will own and deliver best-in-class social media content & engagement moments supporting the business while cultivating an online community and maintaining healthy brand sentiment.  This is a hybrid role reporting into the office in Denton TX on Tuesdays and Weds of each week.

The Social Media Manger will also own the Strategic Day-to-Day Management and Execution of social media marketing plans set by business, and have accountability to Performance Results.  This role must work cross-functionally across marketing, merchandising, digital, stores, and more to ensure social programs optimized and align with business priorities and marketing goals. 

This role will leverage Sprinklr to complete and execute the work assigned and/or in-app native engagement where necessary. This role will uphold brand standards as it pertains to Sally Beauty brand tone, voice, values, and follow and adhere to outlined processes and Social Guidelines.

Editorial Calendar Management of Organic Social Platforms Collaboratively develop content ideas to support specified social media platforms based in business priority, social media trends and best practices Source or create content (Video, Static, Animation), ensuring it reflects best practice for its designated platform and follows brand creative guidelines Route content for leadership approval, making edits as needed Content publishing ownership including any necessary back-end tagging  Management of Creator Collective UGC program including briefing, sourcing, tracking, reviewing, and budgeting Own Social Media Content briefing to support always-on brand content, as well as specific campaign needs Upkeep of day-to-day platform needs including, but not limited to, bio updates, header imagery updates, pinned posts, linked content, and more

Community Management of Social Media platforms, both reactive engagement and proactively identifying brand building conversations and engagement beyond owned channels. Lead Social Engagement for designated channels and follow Social Response Protocol for engagement and routing of customer care needs via social media Utilize Social listening to identify the latest trends in social or beauty that can be opportunities for Sally Beauty to participate in Proactively identify and engage with likeminded consumers or beauty enthusiasts, with the intention of developing long-term relationships within Sally Beauty Communities

Leads alongside Sr Manager the Reporting, Listening and Trend Forecasting, Budget Management

Knowledge, Skills & Abiilities:

Degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Business, or related field  Minimum of 6 years in related role  Experience as a Social Media Community Manager, developing relationships with consumers on social media platforms on behalf of a brand Execution experience bringing social media strategies to life while utilizing data to consistently improve  Experience maintaining a social media editorial calendar  Familiarity with social listening practices to inform content plans, campaigns, and strategies  Experience with content ideation, development, editing, and publishing across a variety of different social platforms  Knowledge of best practices for social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, LinkedIn, Pinterest, etc. – with a specialty in TikTok, YouTube, and Pinterest Understands how to represent a brand online  Familiarity with Sprinklr software and CreatorIQ is a plus

Working Conditions /Physical Requirements
 

The work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts which require normal safety precautions typical of such places as offices, meeting and training rooms, retail stores, and residences or commercial vehicles, e.g., use of safe work practices with office equipment, avoidance of trips and falls, observance of fire regulations and traffic signals, etc. The work area is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated.
