Description
Looking for a SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER on a 6 month contract-to-hire basis. Work with the internal creative team of a CPG company to manage the different moving pieces and increase social media ROI and engagement.
1. Strategy Development & Planning
+ Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with business goals.
+ Identify target audiences and choose the right platforms.
+ Collaborate with the marketing and sales teams to ensure alignment with broader campaigns, launches, and promotions.
+ Stay updated on competitors' social media presence and industry trends.
2. Content Creation & Management
+ Plan and develop engaging, on-brand content (images, videos, text) that highlights the CPG products and connects with customers.
+ Coordinate with designers, videographers, and copywriters to create a content calendar.
+ Optimize content for each platform (e.g., Instagram Reels, TikTok videos, Twitter threads).
+ Maintain brand voice and visual consistency across all platforms.
3. Community Management
+ Actively monitor, respond to, and engage with followers, comments, direct messages, and mentions.
+ Foster positive relationships with customers, addressing questions or concerns in a timely and professional manner.
+ Build and maintain relationships with influencers, brand advocates, and user-generated content (UGC) creators.
4. Campaign Management
+ Develop and execute paid and organic campaigns for new product launches, promotions, or events.
+ Oversee budget allocation for social media advertising (Facebook Ads, Instagram Ads, LinkedIn Sponsored Content, etc.).
+ Partner with the PR team for product collaborations and media partnerships.
5. Analytics & Performance Tracking
+ Set KPIs for social media performance, such as follower growth, engagement rate, click-through rate (CTR), and conversions.
+ Use analytics tools (e.g., Meta Business Suite, Hootsuite, Google Analytics, Sprout Social) to track and measure performance.
+ Provide regular reports to leadership and recommend optimizations for better performance.
+ A/B test content, ad creatives, and hashtags to maximize effectiveness.
6. Collaboration & Cross-Functional Support
+ Work closely with product, sales, and customer service teams to align messaging and resolve customer feedback.
+ Support larger marketing initiatives, such as trade shows, partnerships, or seasonal campaigns.
+ Collaborate with eCommerce teams to drive traffic and boost product listings on DTC websites or online retailers (e.g., Amazon, Shopify).
7. Trend Analysis & Innovation
+ Stay ahead of emerging trends, platform updates, and new features (e.g., TikTok trends, Instagram AI tools, Meta ad innovations).
+ Experiment with creative approaches, such as AR filters, shoppable posts, or influencer collaborations.
+ Propose strategies for emerging platforms or technologies that align with the brand.
Requirements
+ Must have experience in the CPG industry
+ Managerial experience
+ Experience with all social media platforms
+ Must fully understand the ever-changing social media trends
+ A go-getter attitude and collaborative with other creative professionals
