Social Media Marketing Manager

**Job Description:**
Fairfield University's Marketing & Communications Team is seeking a full-time, passionate Social Media Marketing Manager to support the tactical elements of social media management at the University and individual School and College levels. The ideal candidate demonstrates a deep understanding of Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn and has a proven ability to craft compelling stories while being highly organized, efficient, and self-driven.
Key Responsibilities
Management of School and College Accounts
+ Schedule and curate content for social media accounts of:
+ Dolan School of Business
+ EGAN School of Nursing
+ College of Arts & Sciences
+ School of Engineering & Computing
+ School of Education & Human Development
+ Fairfield Bellarmine Initiative
Student-Creator Content Coordination
+ Collaborate across schools and departments to manage academic and student takeovers and features, including:
+ TikTok/Instagram Reels
+ Photo galleries
+ Short- and long-form writing
Campaign Planning & Analytics
+ Assist in creating annual one-sheets for key campaigns to streamline signature events.
+ Export monthly metrics using Sprout Social and report on key findings.
Training for University Personnel
+ Support the Associate Director of Social Media Marketing and Strategy in creating and updating training materials to ensure consistent strategy implementation across the University.
University Platforms Management
+ Assist the Associate Director with the daily management of official University accounts on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and TikTok.
Toolkit Curation
+ Collaborate with the Design and Print team and other stakeholders to develop copy and image asset toolkits for signature events.
Intern and Student Creator Management
+ Help oversee a team of interns and student creators to foster engagement and creativity.
**Minimum Qualifications**
**Education & Experience**
+ Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
+ 2-3 years of professional social media marketing or content creation experience.
**Skills & Proficiencies**
+ Expertise in social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn) and content management tools (e.g., Sprout Social).
+ Strong storytelling skills with experience in short-form and long-form content creation.
+ Proficiency in social media analytics and reporting.
+ Exceptional organizational and project management skills.
**Other Requirements**
+ Familiarity with trends in higher education marketing is a plus.
+ Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
+ Willingness to occasionally work evenings or weekends for events or campaigns.
