Locations: Lansdowne, VA / Washington, DC / Dallas, TX / Scottsdale, AZ Team Overview Our Communications Team shapes ADF’s voice and impact, crafting powerful stories, engaging audiences, and amplifying our mission across platforms. We thrive on creativity, strategy, and collaboration to inform, inspire, and influence. Key Responsibilities + Content Management & Publishing: Manage daily tasks and the publishing schedule for multimedia content across all social media channels, both natively and through task management systems. + News Monitoring & Rapid Response: Track the news cycle and ADF’s social media channels to identify rapid response opportunities and other relevant news. Provide daily tracking reports and communicate major news items to the broader team. + Content Creation & Curation: Pitch, write, repurpose, and curate both daily and campaign content for all social media platforms, including but not limited to X, Facebook, and Instagram. + Performance Tracking & Reporting: Manage and deliver regular reporting and metrics analyses on channel and post performance to the Social Media Manager and Visual Communications Team. + Community Engagement: Monitor ADF’s social media community and facilitate timely, tactful, accurate, and on-message responses within our network of followers, influencers, and opposition. + Editorial Collaboration: Work with the Social Media Manager and content creators to develop editorial concepts that align with ADF’s focus areas and track opportunities that shape and influence mainstream media narratives. + Research & Best Practices: Regularly research, analyze, and implement insights and best practices to maximize future channel growth and engagement. Minimum Qualifications + Bachelor’s degree in communications or relevant degree (journalism or multimedia) or equivalent experience working in politics or advocacy. + 1-3 years of social media experience. Preferred Qualifications + Graphic design and basic video editing skills The salary range for this position is $50,000 - $61,000 per year. This salary is reflective of a position based in Washington, DC. This range is an estimate, and the actual salary may vary based on the candidate’s experience, skills, qualifications, and office location.
