Duties and Responsibilities:
Must have a good working knowledge of TSA Family Services and all social services within the area. Attends to clients and guests’ needs with respect. It is essential for the applicant to be able to multi-task and prioritize workload. Able to work and communicate well with supervisor, volunteers and clients. Must be able to meet deadlines and work well under pressure. The applicant must possess good decision-making skills and be able to give assistance without preconceived notions or discrimination. Ability to answer phones and use email, and provide information to callers and walk-ins. Ascertain needs of clients, determine if emergency needs fit TSA guidelines and prepare complete case information sheets. Work closely with vendors and make sure that all payments are fulfilled by obtaining invoices, W9’s and other relevant paperwork. Prepare all paperwork/vouchers, including all backup required by auditors and submit to DHQ Finance Department for payment. Assist with the submission of reports, statistics and payment requests to DHQ and the Finance Department. Able to understand TSA procedures, programs and assist with record keeping. Obtain permission to verify, release and share information. Serves on community planning and fund-raising groups where such identification is beneficial to the community and work of The Salvation Army. Update, organize, and maintain client information in applicable software, forms and case records accurately and in a timely manner. Volunteer management: enroll, train and supervise volunteer workers. Develop new relationships, continue to cultivate and maintain partners, vendors, donors. Identify other appropriate resources and make appropriate referrals. Data input of case files. Perform other office duties as assigned by the Service Center Director and SE Director. Maintain a positive attitude and be a Christian role model for all clients, guests and volunteers.
Qualification and Education Requirements:
High School Diploma and at least two years in a related field or professional experience in a related human services program. Strong communication, writing, budget/accounting, and record keeping skills. Ability to work effectively with other employees, agencies and the public. Must be able to maintain confidentiality. Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook required. Working knowledge of integrated database applications and ability to use new software programs with basic training. Must be minimally 21 years of age and possessing a valid Colorado Driver's License
