OVERVIEW:
The main purpose of this role is to organize, lead, and support all social service efforts of the Kroc Community Center. The role will guide, direct, and refer helpful services and programs to our facility guest base and the Tenderloin community. This position will also develop a working relationship and knowledge of the greater Salvation Army social services network in the city, in order to understand the needs of the city while being able to execute local-level initiatives and Kroc Center goals in the Tenderloin District.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Plan and execute levels of social service support needed within Kroc Center Departments Screen clients for various Salvation Army programs and complete applications needed Oversee the food pantry program and support all Corps services and programs that address food insecurity Maintain volunteer intake systems and oversee volunteers who contribute to our services and opportunities Record and maintain statistical information that pertains to services given and received Develop and maintain knowledge of Salvation Army and city-wide social services and programs Provides casework that directs clients to support services network with community partners Drive and be the main point of contact for food donation intake, pick-ups, and documentation Will oversee the management and coordination of seasonal activities Other related duties as requiredEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or equivalent (required) CA Driver’s license (Required) Bachelor’s degree in social services (preferred) Experience working in social services (preferred) Experience in Non-Profit, Faith Based programming & services Experience with Microsoft programsSKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Bilingual in Spanish (preferred) Team player Excellent communication skills Ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds Self-motivated Maintain a high level of confidentiality Ability to multi-task Ability to lead Understands and can operate the use of social media platformsPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
