Incumbents function as managers who train, supervise and evaluate the performance of subordinate supervisors; develop policies and procedures; and allocate staff and resources to accomplish goals and objectives. The Division of Welfare and Supportive Services is currently recruiting for a Child Support Social Services Manager I vacancy in our Reno Program Area Office. Under general direction, this position manages the staff, operations and program performance of a child support office. The manager is responsible for managing service delivery in accordance with applicable laws, regulations and program requirements; developing and implementing office policy/procedures that produce operational efficiencies and achieve federal program performance measures; compiling and analyzing statistical data associated with office/unit activities; developing, implementing and monitoring strategic and corrective action plans and reports; training, supervising and evaluating the performance of subordinate professional, paraprofessional and clerical staff; participating in program planning, development and implementation; establishing/maintaining cooperative and collaborative relationships with program partners and Attorneys General; locating, planning and organizing office space; establishing appropriate safety, security, and emergency measures; and arranging for office maintenance and repairs. In addition, one year of the above experience must have been at the supervisory level; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.
