DESCRIPTION OF WORK As a Social Worker 2, you will primarily be responsible for the coordination and implementation of transitional services at the North Central Secure Treatment Unit (NCSTU). Your focus will be to ensure the facility successfully transitions youth back into their community through leading an active process of discharge planning and establishing aftercare via a network of community-based resources. Other duties include providing specialized, professional counseling and care for the rehabilitation and social development of court-adjudicated delinquent residents in the Youth Development Center/Youth Forestry Camp (YDC/YFC) system. You will supervise the resident group in rehabilitative treatment, education, recreation, and social development programs in accordance with the Department of Human Services; Office of Children, Youth, and Families; Bureau of Juvenile Justice Services Programs; and agency policies.
