S:US Is seeking a Social Worker for our mens shelter in Brooklyn.
This position is located at 1000 Blake Avenue Brooklyn, NY 11208.
The Social Worker will be responsible for the overall delivery and coordination of services for homeless
clients. The Social Worker is responsible for interfacing with the New York City Department of
Homeless Services Staff, Shelter providers and relevant community‐based organizations to enhance
and ensure clients are in receipt of optimal care and service coordination; be responsible for the
completion of psychosocial assessments impacted by multiple systems. Assess clients’ needs and
facilitate appropriate linkages to community‐based services. Work within a crisis driven environment
with a knowledge base of substance abuse and addiction, domestic violence, trauma, and mental
health conditions.
