Salary: Starting $54,000 - $62,000, Based on experience
AnthroMed Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Social Worker to join our team for the 2024-2025 school year. This is a grant-funded position aimed at enhancing the school’s capacity to support social-emotional learning (SEL) and provide emotional support services to students. The School Social Worker will play a key role in promoting the well-being of students, providing individual and group counseling, and collaborating with school staff to create a positive and supportive school environment. This position is ideal for a social worker who is passionate about supporting middle school students’ emotional health and social development. The role will involve working closely with a caseload of 14-20 students and providing ongoing support for their mental health and SEL needs.
Key Responsibilities:Provide individual and group counseling to students to address emotional, social, and behavioral challenges.Develop and implement personalized intervention plans for students, in collaboration with teachers, administrators, and families.Assist students in developing coping skills, resilience, and strategies for managing stress and emotional difficulties.Monitor and track student progress, adjusting interventions as needed to ensure success.Conduct crisis intervention and provide support during times of acute need.Facilitate social-emotional learning programs and initiatives within the school.Serve as a resource to faculty and staff on strategies for supporting students’ emotional and behavioral well-being.Participate in school meetings, including IEPs and student support team meetings.Collaborate with community agencies and mental health professionals as needed to support students’ needs.Maintain accurate and confidential student records in accordance with school policies.
Qualifications:Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW)Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with an endorsement in School Social Work
Additional Information:This position is grant-funded, with funding available through June 4th, 2025.Current team includes one additional School Social Worker and one School Counselor.Caseload of 14-20 students, allowing for a focused, personalized approach to student support.
