Pay: $55,000 - $62,000 (depending on experience)
AnthroMed Education is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Full-Time School Social Worker for the 2024-2025 school year. This position will serve students in grades K-8 at an Elementary School in Elwood, IL. The ideal candidate will work closely with a diverse student population, including students with IEP/504 plans, as well as general education students. The position offers an excellent opportunity to collaborate with a supportive team of school professionals and make a meaningful impact on students' social-emotional well-being.
Key Responsibilities:Provide social work services to students with IEPs and 504 plans (approximately 23 students).Support general education students (approximately 10-13 students) with social-emotional needs.Collaborate with the second social worker, who is available two days per week, and other school personnel to implement social-emotional learning programs, such as the Second Step program, within classrooms.Provide counseling, crisis intervention, and case management services to students.Conduct individual and group counseling sessions to address students’ social, emotional, and behavioral concerns.Serve as a member of the IEP team, contributing to assessments, goal setting, and progress monitoring for students with special education needs.Facilitate communication and coordination between school staff, parents, and external agencies to support student success.Participate in school-wide initiatives to foster a positive and inclusive school climate.Attend regular meetings and collaborate with school staff, including the full-time administrative team.Additional Support:The social worker in this position will work in close coordination with another social worker who is present two days per week at the Elementary School.
