We have an exciting opportunity for a  Social Worker (LMSW, LCSW-C or LGPC, LCPC) on the Orchard Unit at our Baltimore/Washington Hospital in Howard County, MD!  The hired individual performs a full range of clinical social work services primarily geared to adult psychiatric patients in support of the patient's primary therapist/treatment team.  Interviews patients and families to assess psychosocial problems, develop treatment plans, and monitor and evaluate patient progress. Communicates with patients based on an understanding of the developmental needs of adults.  Conducts individual, family, and group therapy sessions for patients and their families in order to assist in resolving personal and environmental problems that prevent them from achieving their highest level of psychosocial functioning. Participates as a member of the treatment team or, if working on a residential program or an outpatient clinic, as a primary therapist. Develops and assists in the implementation of discharge and aftercare plans.
